We thought we'd get adventuresome and take the boys up about a 2500 foot vertical mountain over about an 8 mile round trip overnight and back. This was supposed to be preparation for the "real deal" come July when we go to the Uintas it wasn't supposed to be harder than it. We had a great time and I think all would agree on that.
We figured out a lot of things we are still missing for our high adventure camp (Jorge get some silverware and pots and pans) and we broke in some boots (nice blisters Colton) and we decided that some of us are old and fat (mainly just me), but it was an awesome over-nigther. Mafia (or Mathia, your preference) was awesome and Mitch won the "sleepy head" contest while Karpowitz took home the "last to arrive" award. Stettler was our fearless leader, Tad unselfishly packed in our campsite essentials and JP decided we were all too slow...way to slow. Sorry we didn't all hike havasoopi (however its spelled). Here are some pics to enjoy from the adventure.
