DATC adventure

The Teachers and Priests are gonna get all professional on you. We'll be going to the DATC this wednesday where we're gonna take a tour of the facility, talk about college admissions, applications, scholarships, internships, resumes, interview skills and other SUPER-IMPORTANT life skills to help prepare these guys for the not-to-distant next phase of life. PLEASE parents, encourage them to come, its gonna be a lot of fun. I'll post the recap when we're done. ****RECAP**** A fantastic time was had by all. We were guided through the DATC by James Larsen who introduced us to the Finance Dept, the Marketing dept, the Drafting Dept, the Computer Programing dept, the Networking Dept, the Nursing dept, the Cosmetology dept (Gordon liked that one) and the Composites dept. (just for Tad). It was really cool. We even got a sneak peak at the design of the future flying automobile to be released within 5 years!!! We saw some great things and the boys were able to take a test to see what they were interested in and find out what careers were available to them, what degrees they ought to get to prepare them for those careers and what kind of salary those particular careers made. They all decided that maybe school wasn't so terrible after all when they saw the $$$. A great time and we finished everyones Duty to God section on Career Development off in ONE NIGHT!!! Thanks parents for getting your boys to come out and have fun with us.
